The Animals & Society course taken by the students who produced the writing on this website received the  2021 Clifton Bryant Animals and Society Course Award from the Animals & Society Section of the American Sociological Association !

About the Project

This website reflects the work of students in the class Animals and Society at Minnesota State University, Mankato. The course's writing assignments are aimed at educating the public about various concepts and perspectives that impact nonhuman animals in US society.  Animals and Society is a 200-level special topics Sociology course in the Department of Sociology and Corrections taught by Carol Glasser. Articles reflect the work of students who have taken the course since 2017.
